Constantin Partners proudly supports The V Foundation for Cancer Research. The V Foundation is named after Jimmy Valvano, the legendary NC basketball coach and ESPN commentator.  Before he passed away from cancer in 1993, he charged his friends and family with finding a cure for cancer & raise awareness.  Since its foundation, the overall V Foundation charity has raised more than $80M.

The V Foundation is fully endowed, so that every $1 donated is 100 cents awarded to cancer research.  The Foundation, which has received five consecutive top 4-star ratings from Charity Navigator, awards grants through a competitive awards process strictly supervised by a Scientific Advisory Board comprised of scientists from around the country.  

Each year, the founders of Constantin Partners host The V Foundation Wine Celebration.  The 10th Annual V Foundation Wine Celebration took place August 1 & 2 in the Napa Valley, raising $3.9 million for critical cancer research. The event, a signature fundraiser for The V Foundation (www.jimmyv.org), brings sports, high tech and wine industry notables together for a two-day celebration in the Napa Valley to fund research grants designated by the V Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Board. The event founded by Julie and Andrew Constantin and has raised approximately $30 million since it's inception. The 11th Annual V Wine Celebration will be held in the Napa Valley, August 7 & 8, 2009.
